I’ve learned that North Carolina summers don’t come close to measuring up to the temperature in Belize. Formers (freshmen). When I asked why so many kids joined them, he replied it was out of protection and if someone wanted to beat them up then they would pay their gang to keep them safe. We made it inland and right now I’m sitting in my cabana room in San Ignacio at the Cahal Pech Village Resort. I’ll rewind a couple days to fill everyone in on what we’ve done so far. Saturday. These are my experiences and adventures while in Belize for five weeks. Please feel free to leave comments! Sunday, April 10, 2011. Peanut Butter and Jelly Chunks. This weekend was the first completely free weekend I’ve had since being here and, to no surprise, was amazing. Friday. The ride was only about an hour and a half long and I didn’t get sick! These monkeys were awesome! Their names were Chico and Feste (which let me just be an English nerd for a second and tell you guys that I read Twelfth Night.
