piccadilly cowboy: Britania!
http://cwhets.blogspot.com/2008/06/britania.html
Two months in london. Sunday, June 22, 2008. Well Blogosphere, its been awhile hasn't it? How about we make up and I can leave an update? Stayed at the hotel while I took my Dad to visit the centre and take care of some last minute business before I officially checked out. That first day was pretty low-key. We ate at the hotel and got ready for the next couple of days. Posted by Big and Brawny. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Here comes the sun. View from the top. A little hairspray, and a swim.

Here are some pictures of my gray Sunday walk through the area around Buckingham Palace. I always manage to get there around the same time as the changing of the guard so it is packed with tourists. As we get closer to summer, there are more and more American tourists and less Europeans. Posted by Big and Brawny. Wednesday all ...

Banners and Ensigns: Missing Tim
http://bannersandensigns.blogspot.com/2012/02/missing-tim.html
Wednesday, February 8, 2012. Timmy, my baby brother, had a tremendous impact on my life. He blessed our family in person for 17 years and then moved on ahead of us 6 years ago today. Although it has been a while since Tim's passing, memories of his life continue to bless me. Here are a just a few of the things I remember about Timmy:. Tim's absolute joy in living - he laughed and enjoyed the very simplest of things with a zest that could hardly be contained in his little body. Then it happened - he remem...

Wednesday, July 4, 2012. What I hope my children will remember about Independence Day. Today is Independence Day. Today we remember the brave men who mutually pledged to each other their lives, their fortunes and their sacred honor so that we could have the freedom God intended us to have. In the words of another great American - “It is altogether fitting and proper that we should do this.”. Constant vigilance and a willingness to stand up and fight are freedom’s only safeguards. As we celebrate our nati...

Banners and Ensigns: He Lives!
http://bannersandensigns.blogspot.com/2012/04/he-lives.html
Saturday, April 7, 2012. I believe it was because he "felt after" Lazarus' loved ones who were mourning his loss. There in that room, as we prepared my little brother for his burial, I felt that the Savior was feeling after us. He was sad because He loves us - and we were sad. And then quickly answered her own question - "I guess Jesus will just have to go down there and get him.". Indeed - Jesus has come down here and will "get" all of us who are waiting and anxious for His uplifting hands. There is...

Sunday, July 4, 2010. I am not ashamed to admit that, hands down, Independence Day is my favorite holiday of the year. Tuesday, May 26, 2009. Posted by Keeper of Banners. Monday, May 25, 2009. I am grateful for the opportunity Memorial Day gives me to take my children to visit our local cemetery and pay our respects to brave soldiers, sailors, airmen, and marines who have put it all on the line so that we could enjoy the life we now have. I am thankful for this wonderful land we live in and those who have fought to establish it and keep it free. God bless their memory! Posted by Keeper of Banners. Thursday, May 14, 2009.

http://bannersandensigns.blogspot.com/2010_03_01_archive.html
Monday, March 15, 2010. The Price of Freedom. On Friday night I went out to my flagpole and, once again, lowered my flag to half mast. But the prayer I offered that night was for my own family this time. Earlier that day my cousin, SFC Glen Jacob Whetten, joined the ranks of those who have given the last full measure of devotion for their country. SFC Glen Jacob Whetten, United States Army. We approach the Bible with American eyes and therefore completely miss or misunderstand so much of it. It is an old Middle Eastern book. To really understand it, we must try to understand the culture, theology, language and thinking of people in the Middle East. ORDER A COPY NOW. Who cares what is in the Bible? Anyone who has been touched by God. It doesn't matter how God touched you. Whether. How do you know? How do you know about this stuff? My dentist asked as he flipped through my book. "I.
