Not all heroes wear a cape. Another week, another challenge from Heroes from History! Hubert sent us a video asking us to find out about coal mining as miners have to be very brave to go into the mines every day. We first found out about why people mined coal and what coal does for us. The start of our time as Dosbarth Oren has been a busy one. We have been learning about the Olympics and Paralympics in Rio, Brazil. We have taken part in lots of activities with this topic and have explored areas we found interested in. Learning to write names. Everyone has been working really hard practicing to write their names. Here are the children in Dosbarth Coch enjoying lots of different activities. The children have been very busy just like Bob! They have built towers, castles, houses and lots of different cars and trucks. The children enjoy sharing a variety of books, both in English and Welsh. The children have thoroughly enjoyed dressing up as different characters and taking part in independent role play.

Chinese New Year with our Buddies. Our Chinese New Year topic was concluded with a celebration afternoon with our buddies in Dosbarth Arian. We had a wonderful afternoon sharing our learning with each other. Dosbarth Arian had prepared Poetry, while we enjoyed performing our Dragon Dance and Songs.
