Was our second attempt at showing. We took along Lucy and Kathleen. Lucy was entered into the 'dry cow in calf' class. She behaved herself very well. We were all delighted when she took third prize. This is the judge providing some useful feedback on how to improve next time. We then took Lucy and Kathleen into the 'pairs' class. Keeping them walking together was quite a challenge and Emily did a great job with Lucy. The judge took her time to study both Lucy and Kathleen very carefully.

Since January 2007 and are passionate about our animals and how they are reared. We keep our Dexters. Feerless' arrived on 7th April 2010 as a 13 month old red Dexter bull. He was very calm right from the start and laid down in the trailer for his 3 hour journey home. His name is not a spelling mistake, he is named after his father 'Peerless',. As a red Dexter bull, we are hoping to get some red calves from him. Our senior bull Henley is the dominant black colour, so all our calves have been black. By October 2010, Feerless had grown significantly, both in height and girth.

Are the smallest breed of cattle in the British Isles. They originated in Ireland and are descended from the origional celtic black cattle. As an old breed they have retained their natural instincts. They are hardy, intelligent, easy calvers and make excellent mothers. Calving problems are very rare and the calves are up on their feet very quickly. They are able to fend for themselves and human intervention is seldom needed for mothers and calves to do very well.
