So I've been trying to attend more concerts, maybe foolishly since I rarely enjoy them as much as when I just go out dancing, but when I read all the breathless praise for this person and that act by so many live music devotees I become convinced that I'm missing out. Not going to concerts much means I approach them perhaps more critically, not so much in terms of the quality of each performance, but rather by examining what I hope to get out of concerts generally.
