Creative Confessions: Sunday Morning Comfort Food
http://cybercanuck.blogspot.com/2015/03/sunday-morning-comfort-food.html
Sunday Morning Comfort Food. Everyone has that special, homey, favourite food. Isn't it funny how food can be such a detriment and also a comfort at the same time! Whatever the case, food enjoyed with my family is definitely a favourite "pastime" of mine. Our family favourite for a weekend morning involves some preparation, but is totally worth it! Much better than me - I still need the ingredients list! When we go home to visit Dad, the Sunday morning breakfast menu is a given. What was once a tradition...
Creative Confessions: Tired of Drab
http://cybercanuck.blogspot.com/2015/03/tired-of-drab.html
Isn't it amazing how gray days, busy schedules, the onset of a cold, and drooping eyelids from restless sleeping can tax a person's outlook. Yep. I confess. This is me. Photo: Lucy @ Attic 24. I sometimes wander around blogland to find articles and meet people who brighten the more bleak days. I especially find inspiration, along with many others, at Attic 24. I enjoy looking out at the pond to see what the day has brought. I think Mother Nature needs a natural remedy for mood control! Or is this what ar...
Creative Confessions: One More Try At This
http://cybercanuck.blogspot.com/2012/05/one-more-try-at-this.html
One More Try At This. Somehow, time has been my enemy these past weeks. Time and the Canadian health system that keeps sending me home - but that's a rant on a whole different topic! As I'm sure you've all guessed due to my lack of posting here, I have been back down the lee side of the slippery slope and into the hospital a couple more times. However, now things are looking on the bright side - again, and I am hoping it stays that way! I think I did not too badly for my first time ever! Clockwise from 1...

How wonderful to be honoured by a fellow blogger! I know many writers out there prefer "award free" blogging, but I will admit - I'm not one of them. It's wonderful to hear from everyone in comments, and even more special when a reader passes on a special sentiment that they appreciate you and your blogging activities. I was awarded the Liebster bloggers award from Colleen over at " Colleen Quilts Too. The Liebster Conventions says that:. Thank your award presenter on your blog and link back to him/ her.
Creative Confessions: August 2011

Finally - Quilt Show Pictures. I confess, as summer is coming to a close, I am finding it more and more difficult to get on here and keep up with posting. I know that once September arrives and the calendar has changed to Fall, things will settle in and I'll have more time to spend keeping in touch with you all. A gallery of quilts. This was all applique and amazing! It was hanging from the roofline, so it was difficult to get an accurate picture. You can click on it for a better view. When you pass the ...

Don't wait for someone to bring you flowers. Plant your own garden and decorate your own soul. Wednesday, April 13, 2011. Started sewing my hexies together for the new top. I found a new blue but now looking at the pictures it should have been in the first round, looks lighter to me. Oh well, will see how it looks next to the darker blues I have. The snow is finally melting, and there are huge puddles around. Luckily the ones in the yard are sinking into the ground overnight. Links to this post. Monday, ...

Don't wait for someone to bring you flowers. Plant your own garden and decorate your own soul. Wednesday, November 23, 2011. I didn't get any new flowers made this week, but sewed 8 to my quilt top. Total is now 152. I've run out of green squares for the leaves, will have to cut more, luckily I bought enough fabric. Over the years cows have rubbed on this old willow so much it has a wonderful smooth surface and beautiful red colour. Links to this post. Wednesday, November 16, 2011. I've found this intere...

Specializing in Quilted Items, Gail Wilson Dolls, Punchneedle Embroidery and Rag Rugs. Monday, July 18, 2011. At last the first annual Artistree Summer Show is this coming Saturday, July 23 in Belgrade, Maine and things have been busy here at the Civil War doll hospital. This is what my husband named our kitchen one evening when he came home from work and found our counter "littered: with doll body parts. At any rate, progress is being made and these dolls have evolved into lovely young ladies.

Don't wait for someone to bring you flowers. Plant your own garden and decorate your own soul. Wednesday, September 21, 2011. Added 13 more flowers to total 67, slowly getting bigger. We have a road trip coming up, might be a good opportunity to sew more hexies on the road. Will have to get some petals cut out. I bought a fat quarter yesterday I really like, can't wait to see what it looks like all sewn up into flowers. Links to this post. Labels: One Flower Wednesdays. Friday, September 02, 2011. 1 slig...

Don't wait for someone to bring you flowers. Plant your own garden and decorate your own soul. Thursday, May 19, 2011. Found the turquoise in Arizona at some of the rock and gem shows we went to on your winter trip there earlier this year. I must have lost a few beads on the blue and white ones, they aren't even anymore, easy to fix.The little ones are bent out of shape but I'll re-bend them the next time I wear them. Links to this post. Wednesday, May 18, 2011. Worked a bit on my watercolour quilt top.

Don't wait for someone to bring you flowers. Plant your own garden and decorate your own soul. Wednesday, August 31, 2011. Got my "new to me" book. Didn't take very long to get here. Embroidered 2 patterns on a couple of flowers already joined to the top. Our weather turned cold and rainy so I had time to sit inside and sew. Joined 14 flowers to make my total 54. Think I will make banana muffins today while I do some machine crazy quilt squares. Links to this post. Labels: One Flower Wednesdays. One last...

Birdie: Frying Pans Etc.
http://handy-birdie.blogspot.com/2011/11/frying-pans-etc.html
Don't wait for someone to bring you flowers. Plant your own garden and decorate your own soul. Monday, November 14, 2011. I counted the different varieties of frying pans I have recently when I added a red cast iron enamel grill to my hanging rack. I've got 17, that's not counting the 2 or 3 I have in the trailer for camping. Although most aren't technically frying pans that's what I call them. The 11 inch red enamel. Grill has a panini press that I've used for steak. Cooks really fast. An 11 inch square...

I made 2 hexies this week, one with new fabric and a repeat, I still need more flowers for my garden and some repeats are fine. Added 43 more flowers to total 144. I am finding it easy to add a row while watching TV at night. Didn't post last week because of an appointment in the city so they really added up. Labels: One Flower Wednesdays. Lots of Fabric 2.
