Biting the Bullet: Week 7 #17
http://myblogforwork.blogspot.com/2009/05/week-7-17.html
Friday, May 15, 2009. I am not a fan of social networking sites. . I have enough experience on them to know to stay away from them. The WWW (World Wide Web) is not necessarily a safe place and I have heard and personally witnessed too many unnecessary problems caused by social networking websites. . Biting the Bullet: August 2008
http://myblogforwork.blogspot.com/2008_08_01_archive.html
Wednesday, August 6, 2008. I know that many of you'll out there read book, many many books. I used to be just like you; but then I joined the library and all that enthusiasm that I used to have just disappeared. But still here is a collection of some of the more recent books that I have read, and also have attempted to read and failed. I have added them on to Library thing and have reviewed them for your viewing pleasure. Enjoy! Http:/ www.librarything.com/catalog/razmataz. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

Biting the Bullet: E-Books
http://myblogforwork.blogspot.com/2009/05/e-books.html
Friday, May 15, 2009. I have found them to be immensely useful in trying to find something obsucre which I might want to read about. . Especially in researching for a subject it has come in mighty useful. Plus it does save the trip to the library. But while they cant in my world replace the place of the printed manuscript, they are an invaluable tool to me. . Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Subscribe To Biting the Bullet. Biting the Bullet: Completed!
http://myblogforwork.blogspot.com/2009/05/completed.html
Friday, May 15, 2009. I have finished my training and I am happy. . I did learn something new and interesting. And no matter how much it may be out of our comfort zones I think we should try to learn more about online tools. They will one day become the only tools we will use in the work place. The days of scanning books and opening overnight slots will be gone. . I thought the program was quite useful but I think its implementation could be improved. . Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

Biting the Bullet: Week 8 #19
http://myblogforwork.blogspot.com/2009/05/week-8-19.html
Friday, May 15, 2009. I decided to explore Google Docs. . I was pleasantly suprised by the interface and how it is all linked to our own personal Gmail accounts. It makes the whole process so much more seamless. Our email logins have become our pass to Google's world whether everything we are used to is so much faster. I love it! Biting the Bullet: Podcasts
http://myblogforwork.blogspot.com/2009/05/podcasts.html
Friday, May 15, 2009. They have the potention to be immensely useful if we utilised them properly. Language learning for one would benefit from podcasts. They would enable us to hear the language being spoken and the accent in its native form which would mean that language learning doesnt have to be quite as expensive as it is. . It is yet another way in which Web 2.0 revolutionises daily living. . Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Subscribe To Biting the Bullet. The Best Logo I know of.

Biting the Bullet: February 2009
http://myblogforwork.blogspot.com/2009_02_01_archive.html
Monday, February 23, 2009. Me somewhat but at the same time I probably shouldn't. Have been. With the popularisation of Google everyone has realised the potential of a search engine. I mean Google is virtually steam rolling poor old Microsoft these days with products which lie squarely. In territory that used to be predominantly dominated by Microsoft or Apple. Learning 2.0 I think is too general to bring up just Manukau. Wednesday, February 4, 2009. Its primary function is to bookmark certain webpages a...

Biting the Bullet: July 2008
http://myblogforwork.blogspot.com/2008_07_01_archive.html
Tuesday, July 29, 2008. I just wanted to put up a link to a friend's blog, which I thought was particularly good. I hope you all enjoy it. Http:/ www.cycapy8.blogspot.com/. Friday, July 25, 2008. According to an online generator I have been selected a dream car according to my name. My perfect car is a Volkswagen Beetle. First of all I don't like converibles. Secondly I don't like the Beetle. Its really not the right shape for a car, whether it's iconic or not. Unhappy with my dream car. Because you are ...

Biting the Bullet: Library 2.0 and Web 2.0
http://myblogforwork.blogspot.com/2009/05/library-20-and-web-20.html
Friday, May 15, 2009. Library 2.0 and Web 2.0. Well the fact of the matter is this: whether we like it or not we are in the information world and we have to adapt from our traditional trends and methods to suit the modern climate. . If we dont adapt the people that suffer arent just librarians who most likely will be replaced if they dont upskill; the patrons themselves would lose a valuable service that they rely on us as librarians to provide them. .
