Two weeks ago it was an 82.5km race that I made a mess of but came away from more than happy, So on Sunday it was meant to be a 30km race…not so hard should be fun…. Ride lap of next weekends PNP. Race course at Belmont, it is an old school type course run on mainly on farm tracks, with lots of creek crossings, most of them ridable. As you probably know I am the mug behind an attempt to try and get a 24hr race off the ground here in Welly (or Wainuiomata to be precise). With N-Duro opting not to run their 24hr there was no longer a 12noon to 12 noon event run for mtb’rs. It only left the ‘punter course’ 10pm to 10pm Moonride. Was it to hard or easy? I was gutted...

Donate to Marry Pottor Hospice. About Marry Potter Hospice. Sunday, 3 August 2014. It was a crap morning pouring with rain when arrived at the new venue for the Santoft Sizzler 5hr MTB. Just down the road from the old one so it wasn't really to much difference except this time the tent village was in a paddock rather than under the trees, anyway by the end of lap one the rain had stop and by the time the race was over the sun was out in full force, so a good day was had by all.
