Wednesday, July 29, 2009. News for 48V eZee customers. We've been selling the eZee hub motor kits for about 1.5 years now, and have had great success with them over all. We have not yet had a single motor fail. Unfortunately, we have had some controller failures (which we've warranted). It turns out that many of those failures are associated with 48V operation using a LifePO4 battery, since those batteries often run at higher voltages (e.g. 52-54V).
