Cycling from End to End

Cycling from End to End. Friday, 22 June 2012. Final run to John O'Groats! Oh the weather didn't want to play at all today, I set off from Brora down the little country lane to the A9, then proceeded to turn left into driving rain and a 20 knot headwind. That was pretty much the full 65 miles, rain and headwind. Even though the weather has been crappy I have really enjoyed today, I wouldn't have changed a thing either, well maybe the rain.er.and the wind.and possibly the fog. Overall the ...Mixed bag tod...

Cycling from End to End

http://cyclingfromendtoend.blogspot.com/2012/06/day-2so-back-on-a30-for-few-miles-this.html

Cycling from End to End. Tuesday, 12 June 2012. So, back on the A30 for a few miles this morning before turning off onto B roads. These are the types of roads I'm used to cycling on so I felt right at home. Plenty of hills, tight bends and cows just over the hedges. Although a lot heavier traffic than I'm used to at home. The weather once again has been very kind. Sunny most of the day and very pleasant to ride in. And, the information that you really want. No punctures! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

http://cyclingfromendtoend.blogspot.com/2012/06/last-few-weeks-have-been-hectic.html

Cycling from End to End. Saturday, 9 June 2012. Last few weeks have been hectic. Last minute training and more stressfully; a last minute change of bike. The original bike has been too unreliable these last few weeks so I've switched it to one that I've been using for training and has done me well so far, so let's hope it keeps up. However once we were passed Manchester at around 6pm we've seen nothing but sunshine. Other than that I'm all set. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). View my complete profile.

Cycling from End to End

http://cyclingfromendtoend.blogspot.com/2012/06/so-here-we-go-im-off-today-is.html

Cycling from End to End. Sunday, 10 June 2012. So here we go, I'm off! Today is technically 'Day 0' not 'Day 1'. I cycled from Land's End just 3 miles down the road to the first B&B. This was so that I could get the obligatory photo today and then I can set off a little earlier tomorrow from the B&B. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). This summer I plan to ride from Lands End to John O'Groats for Macmillan Cancer Support. See how the journey unfolds on this blog because if I'm honest I'm interested ...

Cycling from End to End

http://cyclingfromendtoend.blogspot.com/2012/06/day-1-everything-started-well-this.html

Cycling from End to End. Monday, 11 June 2012. Everything started well this morning, had a fantastic breakfast, fantastic weather and I felt really good as well. Set off a little later than I had originally planned at around 9.30am but at least I missed the school traffic. I was apprehensive about the roads today. I had planned to go along the A30 and get off onto the A39 as soon as possible to get away from the dual carriage way. However, it was no where near as bad as I had expected. This summer I plan...

http://cyclingfromendtoend.blogspot.com/2012/06/day-3-today-i-rode-from-cross-to.html

Cycling from End to End. Wednesday, 13 June 2012. Today I rode from Cross to Leominster, I had to pass through Bristol, which is the first city I've had to navigate through. As it happens it wasn't all that bad. The traffic was fairly quiet and Bristol is very cycle friendly with lots of cycle lanes. Now a word from my sponsor more Guinness! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). This summer I plan to ride from Lands End to John O'Groats for Macmillan Cancer Support. See how the journey unfolds on this ...

Cycling Fredericton

Friday, June 28, 2013. Now that the weather is getting nicer in Fredericton, I am noticing more and more cyclists on the roads. But, I've also been noticing more and more cyclists on the sidewalks. Riding your bicycle on the sidewalk is actually not allowed. It can be very dangerous for pedestrians, especially on the busy streets in the downtown core. You may even be issued a fine if caught operating your bicycle on the sidewalk. Here is a link to the Fredericton Police bicycle safety info sheet:. Some p...
