The Seaway is still in the process of installing a hands-free mooring system in all its locks in the Welland Canal. Cycling wherever the road leads me. With my sea days behind me, it is travelling by two wheels exclusively now. Friday, 15 May 2015. Decided to try a different ride out of Sorel instead of the Sauvagine. There is a bit of a bike path that meanders through a park just east of the ferry dock but, then, ends suddenly. About 13 km from Sorel, the road crosses a small bridge traversing a small channel. The road continues for a bit on 'Embarassed' island but it was time to turn around and head back to the ship.

We Made the Grade! Yesterday, Barry, his mother Lobstermom, and I set out to accomplish a ride that has been on our bucket list for awhile. The Old Spiral Highway, better known as Making the Grade to local cyclists. Barry rode the grade a couple years ago by himself before I was really into cycling. Lobstermom and I hadn’t ridden it before and it was on our To-Do list for this cycling season. The lilacs are blooming in Lewiston and absolutely beautiful. The “L” at the top of the hill.
