Fuel | Cycling to Estonia
https://cyclingtoestonia.wordpress.com/2016/08/22/fuel
Stories from the Road. Indeed, our ‘kit’ consists of some small saucepans, a 4 walk frying pan, one small stove, a knife, a spork and (arguably our most important item) one coffee pot. Cycling into Estonia | Cycling to Estonia

Stories from the Road. Head down, start to pedal. Legs are aching and it’s taking a lot of effort to rediscover the rhythm from yesterday. As we hit the main road a buoyant tailwind kicks in; now we’re spinning. As the familiar mechanical pulse of rubber on tarmac and the habitual bending and flexing of knees takes hold the kilometres begin to fall with the metronomic regularity of a ticking clock. Wow, what beautiful scenery , i think to myself. How long was i daydreaming for? Tarmac stretches out like ...

Stories from the Road. 8220;Routine is the enemy”, I thought before we departed. “Full time employment leads to routine which, in turn, leads to comfort and, ultimately, a monotonous lifestyle”. Yes, it seems like I talk to myself a lot. Here is our routine. Oats for breakfast. Splash of milk. Coffee. If necessary. Usually necessary. Brush teeth. Splash water on my face. I’m ready for the ride. Begin riding. Slip into familiar mechanical rhythm. Observe scenery. Decide whether scenery is beau...Covered i...

Emily & Sebastian's cycle adventure
Emily and Sebastians cycle adventure. Sunday, 31 August 2014. It seems like a long time ago since we finished the cycling leg of our trip in Denmark. The return home seemed to take forever, and we were very glad to walk through the door of our house on Friday. Once back in Hook of Holland the sun came out and we had time to reflect on our trip. We had ridden just under 1000km, had stayed in 25 different campsites, had visited about 50 different playgrounds, had worried about the children getting suns...
