October 7, 2013. Without wishing to cause alarm, I should probably mention that the trip has taken an unexpected twist, and has come to an abrupt end, due to a medical malady. Obviously it’s a disappointing end to the trip, but we’re grateful that we made it this far, and are looking forward to some homely comforts. Anyway, we’re both fine, and will be home soon.
