Sunday, August 2, 2015. Starting the month off right. Y buddy craig sent this picture of my boy doug with yet another hawaiian pig he caught yesterday. must be biting up! I don't know for sure what he caught this particular beast on, but i think it is safe to say that it was an orange and tan charlie (remember sean saying there is only two guys he knows that fish the same fly all the time regardless of conditions? That's certainly a good way to start off the month of august, and. August 6, 2015 at 1:56 PM.

Monday, January 19, 2015. Learn something new everyday 1/19/15. Okay so craig checked in today with pics of one of my old friends the flying gurnard. thanks for sending me the pics and giving us our topic for today. If you spent enough time on the water in hawaii you probably have run into this odd feller more than a time or two. a quick google search shows that the flying gurnard is a part of the dactylopteridae. I would advise steering clear of those types. They will eat bonefish flies quite readily.
