A Compound of Alchymie
http://alchymie.typepad.com/acoa/page/2
A Compound of Alchymie. Just spent two interesting days at Contactivity. At the University of Greenwich. Contactivity is a sort of fluffy people focused KM event which has grown out of KM Europe (which is considered to be too systems focused). The first Contactivity event ran alongside KCC Europe in Amsterdam last November (see previous entry. It’s supported and promoted by Knowledge Board. It was an unusual event to say the least, with lots of opportunity for participants to contribute to the agenda.

A Compound of Alchymie: Knowledge Management
http://alchymie.typepad.com/acoa/knowledge_management
A Compound of Alchymie. The departure of Donald Rumsfeld after the recent Republician US election disaster led to the Guardian to review some of his 'insights' - here is my favourite:. The message is that there are no knowns. There are things we know that we know. There are known unknowns. That is to say there are things that we now know we don't know. But there are also unknown unknowns. There are things we don't know we don't know. Posted on November 12, 2006 at 01:22 PM in Knowledge Management. At one...

Holistic and Integral Education: November 2005
http://hent.blogspot.com/2005_11_01_archive.html
Holistic and Integral Education. Tuesday, November 29, 2005. In a series of fascinating blog posts Dave Pollard. Has clarified for me ‘problem solving’. In ways that are informed by systems thinking. And more holistic or integral approaches. And the importance of using ‘systems thinking’ and ‘higher order thinking’. But Pollard now makes me think we could be much more explicit about some of these processes. I think many students and teachers will find his approach very useful. Are useful tools for dealin...

tim bacon's coachspot: June 2005
http://coachspot.blogspot.com/2005_06_01_coachspot_archive.html
On coaching software development teams, being a Dad, and the art of change. Wrapping up with Kent at XP2005. The end of the conference featured Kent Beck, twice. First he joined a panel discussion on Leadership (summarised here. It addressed in a wide-ranging way the possibilities opened up by embedding the values of XP in an organisation's culture and philosophy, a theme that seemed to be bubbling under many of the sessions in the conference. Which was nice.). I'll sign up to that. Close up, and got a b...
