Everyday Happenings and Days to Remember. Friday, April 13, 2012. There has been a lot of swag camping going on - Alec, Jesse and Max camped in swags on their trip to 1770 and Clermont. Alec routinely swags it when he works up at Birdwood. Jesse, Max and I rolled out our swags at the Pine camp - it poured rain and Jesse got a little wet but I was dry in Louisa's swag - Max moved into the car. So Molly's recipe book, it is circa WW2. there are beautiful recipes such as a rye bread recipe which was given to her by a friend during the bread strike of 1943 (of course I can't find anything about the brisbane bread strike of 1943). Monday, October 17, 2011. Forms of Procrastination, Pinterst. I've recently discovered a new obsession. PINTEREST! It's like, you pin your interests (hence the name) on various virtual pin boards. It is very addictive, better than Facebook, and more regularly updated than blogs, it is sooo bad for my studies. I find all sorts of fantastically wonderful things, such as absurd comics:. Awe inspiring pictures of bookcases:. And great cooking ideas:. It is truly truly bad for me. But kind of awesome.

Saturday, August 20, 2011. For those of you who have a hand in planning activities for a group of adult women I highly recommend this for an activity. It was probably the highest turnout we have had. People even brought friends (wich we were more than happy to have) and we danced and giggled as we all enjoyed trying to imitate the moves being taught to us. It was definitely a success. Here are 5 things I like about my new city. 1There is a market every week with lots of yummy things to try. 2 I can see glimpses of the ocean through my windows. 3 There are lots of fun little shops and eateries near by. 4 I found a little grocery store that reminds me of a place my grandma use to shop at frequently while I was little. 5 I can drive 5 minuets one way and be by sky scrapers or I can drive 5 minuets the other way and be surrounded by trees. Ok, I will work on that.

Friday, July 22, 2011. We then had dinner which was a Donna Hay Chicken Spaghetti Salad with baby spinach leaves, Cherry Tomatoes and creamy basil dressing. Followed by a Poppy Seed cake, from a cake mix, the same that Kathleen had brought down the Sunday before for dessert. Unfortunately I messed up the cake and it feel apart abit when I took it out of the pan, I seem to struggle with packet mixes. All in all it was a lovely Birthday, and very Max. Saturday, September 24, 2011. Living in a small Queenlander with a family of eight is awesome. However it does mean that my 'hobby' of baking cannot really be indulged after 8.30pm.
