माँ, बालपन की कहानी सुना दे, ,. मुझे याद आती है बातें पुरानी,. माँ सुना दे वही बालपन की कहानी. जवानी की तपती हुई ज़िन्दगी में,. कहाँ से ये ठंडी हवा आ रही है. उलझन भरी सूनी रातों में कोई,. मीठे स्वरों में लोरियां गा रही है. वो ममता की तस्वीर भूली पुरानी,. माँ सुना दे वही बालपन की कहानी. खुली नदियों में उछलना मचलना,. नदिया किनारे की रेती में चलना. चंदा में परियों की रानी का दिखना,. मूझे याद आता है तुझसे चिपकना. मुझे आज फिर वही दिन लौटा दे,. जीवन सफ़र. ज़िन्दगी के सफ़र में अकेली चली,. हमसफ़र तुम न जाने कहाँ खो गए. मुड़ के देखा तो सूनी डगर थी मगर,. इक अजब सी महक मेरी राहों में थी. तेरे क़दमों की आहट फिज़ाओं में थी. कस्में-वादे किये थे इन्हीं राहों में,. हमने नग्में सुने थे इन्हीं छाहों में. तेरी पर्छायाँ तो मेरे साथ हैं,. पर तुम्हीं इस डगर में कहीं खो गए. ये कैसा नशा मेरी साँसों में है,. जो तुझे मैं कभी भूल पाती नहीं. ज़िन्दगी की अँधेरी डगर में तेरे,. प्यार की रौशनी झिलमिलाती रही.
