As a child a German friend's mom introduced me to salt and vinegar french fries and, while I enjoyed them, it wasn't an immediate love. Fast forward to college and I had some German potato salad made with apple cider vinegar and something scratched the far depths of my lizard brain and an obsession was born. My first son potty trained about the same time and he didn’t officially finish until he was about 4 1/2 years old.
