Mapping out the trends. February 22, 2016. What’s the future of VR hardware? This week the Mobile World Congress is in full swing. With that, several manufacturers are touting their new virtual reality offerings to the world. Samsung announced the S7. Which works with the existing GearVR hardware, and was partially presented by Mark Zuckerburg himself. LG was also part of the fray, announcing a really interesting take on the current VR headset. Theory: Google will buy T-Mobile (within 5 years) – techcartographer
https://techcartographer.wordpress.com/2015/06/30/theory-google-will-buy-t-mobile-within-5-years
Mapping out the trends. June 30, 2015. Theory: Google will buy T-Mobile (within 5 years). With T-Mobile working with Project Fi. Which I did predict a couple of years ago. They would be a carrier that has the impact to really bring Google’s vision of owning the (entire) internet from server to device. Owning the customer experience end to end has to be* a massive driving force for Google. Why bother with devices (Android, Chromebooks, Glass, etc) if that isn’t the. And get back to me. Yes, this offloads ...

Project Fi Review – techcartographer
https://techcartographer.wordpress.com/2015/08/31/project-fi-review
Mapping out the trends. August 31, 2015. I was scrolling through my twitter feed and saw someone tweet about receiving a Project Fi invite. While wondering Is this a new wave of invites? My phone buzzed with a new email. An invite, which was not supposed to show up for another couple of months, was now here…. My dedicated T-Mobile service out in certain areas. In other areas, it was a bit slower than what I was getting with T-Mobile. My coworker Austin actually got it to connect to a trusted WiFi...I hav...

Some Holiday Thoughts on VR – techcartographer

Mapping out the trends. December 31, 2015. Some Holiday Thoughts on VR. VR is absolutely enthralling for little kids (no big shocker there). What. The Star Wars Jakku Spy experience is a great way to give people a taste of VR that is very accessible (but not very interactive) to a wide swath of ages. Motion sickness can strike any age, but it really depended on. You were viewing that caused it (a roller coaster did, but most games didn’t). Reactions to VR were overwhelming positive. What is going on with Amazon and Staples? – techcartographer
https://techcartographer.wordpress.com/2015/08/10/what-is-going-on-with-amazon-and-staples
Mapping out the trends. August 10, 2015. August 10, 2015. What is going on with Amazon and Staples? Interesting is that Staples is currently the sole supplier of the Amazon Echo in a brick and mortar store.not Office Depot, not Costco, not even Best Buy. To be something going on here. Staples stores are everywhere, but lack the brand cache of other technology sellers like Best Buy. Could this be Amazon testing the waters for a larger physical footprint, a la Apple? Ps This is an Amazon Echo. View jjstern...
