Karen's Home on the Blog: Boat Burning
http://treheima.blogspot.com/2012/01/boat-burning.html
Karen's Home on the Blog. Fiber, Gardens, Love, Life - not necessarily in any order. Tuesday, January 31, 2012. Darrell explains the history of the burning of the Boat.He might get tired of telling the tale every year, but I love hearing it. The Boat is lit. Ragnarr watches with double fisted drinks, so I can take a picture. What do you see in the flames for the new year? So whats the tale? Its not mine to tell. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Karen's Home on the Blog. Fiber, Gardens, Love, Life - not necessarily in any order. Wednesday, July 13, 2011. Apparently the search for a Viking Age harbour in Slite didn't pan out. There was no evidence in any of our finds - many mixed layers, and history all over the modern period. I`ll try to remember to take pictures of the walk in, it`s actually quite a pleasant combination of field and forest. Today was a good day - we found a tiny spiral of silver wire. A piece of decorated pottery. Week 2 starte...

It's called an Asiastic Lily beetle - what an original name. I hope the lilies come back next year when I'll be prepared to kill the beetle, now that I know how. Let's hear it for ancient technology! Random acts of thinking. Saturday, February 25, 2012. NOT the door into summer! Friday, February 24, 2012. A Change is as Good as. So, like many people, I'm sure, we've always found that we expand to fill any given space, and that there's never enough of it, or we're never using it as well as we're sure we must be able. When we first moved to Wareham, the place seemed huge. Well.large, anyway. And since that first moment, there has never been enough space, ever again! For a while he has cast covetous eyes...

But somehow the renovation never seemed to happen. And while I wasn't particularly planning on re-doing the bathroom here, the wall opposite the door had some obvious 'we have moved the towel rack' signs, with some scruff...
