He was on his way back from a work trip in London and was able to arrange a layover in Houston to spend the night with us. It was great to see him! Matty and Uncle David. Thursday, August 28, 2008. Trip to Montana and Yellowstone. We returned last week from a vacation in Montana and visits to Yellowstone National Park with my family. It was so nice to spend time with my family and to see Matty playing with his big cousins, Sam and Jack. He found them very entertaining. Click on the picture below to see our album from the trip. Thursday, April 24, 2008. ALWAYS keep your keys in your pocket! Fortunately, it was only a few minutes before a good samaritan came along and let me use his cell phone to call Juan. So, after the longest 15 minutes of my life, Juan showed up with spare keys in hand to rescue us. I was sweating bullets, Matty was sound asleep in his car seat. Good thing he was overdue for a nap when I put him in the car! And of course, here are some pictures:. Great smile - bad camera work! I'm stuck in my tube o' fun!

Sunday, April 19, 2009. No wonder Matty slept so well while we were there! We seem to always catch the big cats sleeping at the Houston zoo. Despite a cold Easter morning (there's no way it was more than 40 degrees), Sam and Matty had a great time collecting eggs during the egg hunt in Chris and Maggie's neighborhood, and we enjoyed a terrific dinner that afternon. Tuesday, July 29, 2008. Matty is on the move. I am sorry it's been so long since I've posted any new pictures, things have been busy! Since our last post, Matty has learned many new things:. How to feed himself. How to crawl with his belly OFF the ground (and fast! How to clap his hands. How to find, within seconds, any uncovered outlet in any room. How to high five (sort of.sometimes he just grabs my hand). How to climb stairs (with CLOSE parental supervision of course). Grandma and Grandpa with Matty.

Saturday, March 21, 2009. At Gruene Hall, the oldest dance hall in Texas. My second cousin Connor is the pianist for this group and we think they are terrific - if they are playing in your area, we highly recommend you check them out. Connor's dad Pat (my dad's cousin) made the trip down from Tulsa to join us, so we had a little mini family reunion in Gruene. It was a great time! Matty and Grandma at the baseball game. Matty checking out the goats at the petting zoo. That cowboy shirt rocks!
