fauxtography phlog: west wing
http://fauxtographyphlog.blogspot.com/2013/02/west-wing.html
Life is hectic. Photographing it makes it more manageable. Before Christmas, we were treated to a tour of the West Wing of the 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue by a climber friend. It was pretty awesome seeing parts of the working White House that few see in person. Too bad my camera wasn't allowed to capture too many of them! ISO 1600, f/1.8, 1/80s). Labels: black and white. fauxtography phlog: hydrangea
http://fauxtographyphlog.blogspot.com/2012/07/hydrangea.html
Life is hectic. Photographing it makes it more manageable. Wow It's been a while since I've posted regularly. Last summer, I focused primarily on doing so. This summer, my focus has been on getting our kitchen functional again. That includes carefully snaking the extension cords around her lovely hydrangeas. The joys of home ownership! ISO 100, f/4.0, 1/80s). Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). One Photograph a Day. Washington, D.C., United States. View my complete profile. Like what you see?

Life is hectic. Photographing it makes it more manageable. New river gorge bridge. According to the sign on the bridge, this is the longest arch bridge in the Western Hemisphere. According to Wikipedia. It was once the longest in the world. I'd really like to visit Fayetteville on Bridge Day. It sounds like a rollicking good time. ISO 100, f/9.0, 1/100s). Labels: black and white. New river gorge bridge. Yes, this is pretty awesome as well! April 6, 2012 at 2:14 AM. April 13, 2012 at 7:22 PM.

Life is hectic. Photographing it makes it more manageable. We went to Longwood Gardens in search of orchids. None of my shots were too great. The light on this rose in the greenhouse turned out pretty fantastic though. ISO 100, f/4.0, 1/800s). Links to this post. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). One Photograph a Day. http://fauxtographyphlog.blogspot.com/2012_03_01_archive.html
Life is hectic. Photographing it makes it more manageable. Last weekend, a friend of mine handed me his Tamron 28-75mm f/2.8 and said, "I thought you might like to play round with this. It's a little soft, but you should have some fun with it as long as it's not wide open." Fighting my allergies, I took it out for a walk around the neighborhood. ISO 800, f/2.8, 1/100s). Links to this post. Shallow depth of field. This one's getting blown up and put on the wall. It's my favorite photo in quite a while.

Life is hectic. Photographing it makes it more manageable. All my photographer friends have been telling me since I first bought my D60 that I should be shooting in RAW. It took the Lightroom 4 Beta. For me to finally make that leap. Now all I need is some memory because I foresee my hard drive filling up much faster! ISO 800, f/7.1, 1/320s). Links to this post. Old post office pavilion. coffee and words
Monday, March 8, 2010. One thing i hate about doctor's waiting rooms is the numerous posters they have up of cosmetic surgeries. so i was kinda glad that when i was at the cosmedic clinic a few weeks ago that they don't have such posters hanging around. until i settled into the couch and found the brochures on the table beside me! And there was a whole list you could choose from botox and liposuctions to excessive sweating and snoring problems! Friday, March 5, 2010. It's been awhile since i blogged.
