the daily kaylie: Gabriel Alaka'ipono Sikahema
http://dailykaylie.blogspot.com/2011/03/gabriel-alakaipono-sikahema.html
It's arbitrary, really. I've been meaning to write this for a while, but if you can't imagine, I've been doing much more important things. Like holding my sweet, tiny, perfect, baby boy. But I still wanted to write his birth story on here for those still interested in hearing it. So here it is:. At that moment, I experience a particular strong contraction. It is shortly followed by a realization on my part. Perhaps that pool of liquid is not urine. Hi We're having a baby today.". Hello, I say. Labor and ...
the daily kaylie: A goodbye of sorts
http://dailykaylie.blogspot.com/2012/04/goodbye-of-sorts.html
It's arbitrary, really. A goodbye of sorts. Wow It's been a long time since I've been here. It's been a long time since I've thought. I have some news, though. So I thought I'd share. They'll be 18 months apart, almost exactly. And I don't care if you think we're crazy or whatever. Because having a family is the best thing in the entire world, and we are only and extremely excited. Congrwaitations on the pregnancy! April 14, 2012 at 10:48 PM. April 15, 2012 at 12:34 AM. April 15, 2012 at 6:30 PM. I take ...
the daily kaylie: An update, of sorts?
http://dailykaylie.blogspot.com/2011/10/i-have-itch-today.html
It's arbitrary, really. An update, of sorts? I have the itch today. It's tingling my arms, working its way through my bones, trying to reach my head, trying to grasp something, anything, just ONE thing of the millions of things bopping through my head. Things USED to bop around my head. They used to flail, and scream, and fight their way around my head, actually. But that doesn't happen anymore. No, my mind is more peaceful now. Peaceable, too. And I think it has something to do with my heart. These days...

http://dailykaylie.blogspot.com/2011/09/yesterday-i-switched-to-new-blogger.html
It's arbitrary, really. So anyway. I'm browsing around the new site, and I stumble upon the statistic portion of my "daily kaylie" blog. Fully expecting to see zero site visitors since, like, May, I was completely shocked to see how many people still come here daily. Honestly, I'm quite flattered. Thanks for checkin' up on me, and giving me reason to keep writing on here. I've got some things to say, and this is my place to say them. It's a time thing. So thanks for staying tuned. It is much appreciated.
the daily kaylie: Things(ish) I've learned in the last 2 months and 3 weeks.
http://dailykaylie.blogspot.com/2011/05/things-ive-learned-in-last-2-months-and.html
It's arbitrary, really. Things(ish) I've learned in the last 2 months and 3 weeks. Being a mom is the hardest, most rewarding, most fulfilling, best job I have ever had. And I'm only going on month 3. I love love love it. My heart breaks probably a hundred times a day to fit my growing love for this tiny (okay, so maybe he's not so tiny anymore.) little boy (he weighed in at 13.2 lbs at his 2 month check up. 95th percentile for weight! Everyone tells you, it's going to be over before you know it! It's no...

Thursday, May 31, 2012. The early morning light. There's something about the early morning hours in the summertime. when the sun wakes up with you and you feel pleasant to meet the day. oh hello, your heart smiles. i feel glad that you're here. There is something about running in the early morning light, with cars whizzing past, going to work or the gym or i don't even know where else. i feel part of the world, and simultaneously i am my own. It's also strange to be by yourself all the time when you thin...

Tuesday, April 9, 2013. The eye of a needle. Today i am inspired to write by brandi carlile. I can share the song with you, but it won't penetrate your heart quite like it's piercing mine right now. you can still listen if you wanna. I feel like this whole birth and becoming a mother deal is exactly like passing through the eye of a needle. isn't as easy as it sounds. But people do this all the time. birth babies and become mothers for the first time. And people say, congratulations! I just wish there wa...

Serving the Max and Joyce Hancock Family since 1994 and going digital in 2009. Friday, July 20, 2012. Katie drove with me to help me stay awake on the drive; I only had to pull off once and sleep a little. I'm here 'til Saturday- we drive to Vegas that morning and then will drive home on Sunday. James becomes a Priest on his birthday, July 29, and Ben's blessing will be August 5 (I think? Fast Sunday; we'll drive all the way on Saturday and leave Tuesday morning- if I can get Dave to stay that long.

Serving the Max and Joyce Hancock Family since 1994 and going digital in 2009. Thursday, April 5, 2012. But you might not even know what I'm talking about at this point. It was a surprise, to say the least. We definitely didn't think I was pregnant (I had taken a pregnancy test in January, and it was negative), but I felt like I was. Mostly I was just exhausted, but LJ was convinced that it wasn't pregnancy, so I went on a mad search trying to figure out what was wrong with me. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

The_Keeper's Babe of the Day!
Babe of the Day! Joke of the Day. March 23, 2018. March 22, 2018. Well, it’s time to leave Punta Gorda behind and begin our journey home. We’re all packed up and we’re heading up to Orlando to meet up with my girlfriend’s sister. The plan is to spend the day with her and then continue north in the morning. Judging from past experience, I’m expecting that plan to change. We’ll see. March 21, 2018. If you enjoy this website and would like to show your appreciation by making a donation, click here.
