Thursday, April 17, 2014. Recap of Lent - something has to die, something else has to be born. Something has to die, something else has to be born. During the five Sundays in Lent, that phrase shaped my sermons. Putting to death your desire to live without human limitations gives birth to acceptance of yourself, limits and all. (Matthew 4:1-11). Putting to death your need to be the expert gives birth to the possibility of being changed. (John 3:1-17). What will die along with Jesus? What will be born?
