Birds and Nature Blog. March 6, 2013. Spring migration has arrived in SC Kansas. I am seeing Robins by the 100s, American Goldfinch, Pine Siskin, and Cedar Waxwings. A couple of weeks ago, I took a photo of a damselfly that had about two dozen tiny globules stuck to the bottom of its abdomen. Damselfly with tiny globules on abdomen. Upon closer inspection, the globules appeared to be bright red with tiny legs, so I suspected they were some type of parasite. Close up of globules.
