Capturing the Moment: Orca Close Encounter, Southeast Alaska
http://daimarsadventures.blogspot.com/2015/08/orca-close-encounter-southeast-alaska.html
A photo safari into the adventures. Monday, August 3, 2015. Orca Close Encounter, Southeast Alaska. Just Breaking the Water's Surface. It had already been a pretty great day; snorkeling with seals, finding my first nudibranch, and watching brown bears catch and eat salmon underneath a waterfall. It would be hard to imagine how a day like this could get any better. Then it happened. Glassy orca bow wave. H only to realize with a flushed face what they were truly looking at. Scuba diving with sharks is always a pleasure, and an exciting one at that. But some encounters are so rare that you have to travel half way around the world just for a chance to see that species. The thresher shark is one of those rarely encountered shark species. Find more shark pictures for sale at www.daimarsphotos.com. Infolinks In Text Ads.

A photo safari into the adventures. Saturday, July 25, 2015. Humpback Whale Feeding Grounds. Pink Hues over South Baranof. It turns out that late July is a pretty good time to be in Southeast Alaska for humpback whale action. July and August mark the culmination of migrating humpbacks to the feeding grounds. The bait fish and krill are here in abundance which means so are the humpbacks. Hard to tell what this is. Two Humpbacks lunge feeding at the surface. Friday, July 17, 2015. A photo safari into the adventures. Sunday, December 28, 2014. Video: Underwater with Dolphins. I had been skunked the last few times I had been here so I didn't waste any time in suiting up, grabbing my fins and mask, and practically running to the water. Enjoy the video, listen for the squeaks, and see just how playful, intelligent, and nurturing these animals can be. Sunday, December 14, 2014. Sailing a Tallship Around the Hawaiian Islands.
