All our memories are here, all our experiences from here. Every corner here is mum and dad. The kitchen is mum, the garden is dad and mum, the fridge is dad, the hall is mum, curtains mum, storeroom dad. I can go on forever, but the final is that I am still leaving this all behind. Today the 30th of January 2009. Mum took her last breath and we were all with her; Dad, us 4-kids and our partners, mums sisters, nieces, nephews, friends, colleagues and even students. It was on the 1st day of Chinese New Year 2009 when we were all wishing each other, when my turn came she said " I only want to see you get married. And thats when i saw the tears in her eyes and I cried too. It was the first time I saw mum cry ever in my life. Dad has done a good job mum. You would be proud.

Sunday, 1 February 2009. My condolences to Trixy and family. A rewind back to Sep/ Oct 2008.Trixy shared the dreaded new that her Mom's afflicted with pancreatic cancer. My thought immediately went back in time to 1988 when I lost my grandmother to the same type of cancer. I could feel her anguish as I've seen the suffering. I made a silent promise to drop in for a visit when I'm home. I probably managed to visit twice. Well, Mrs Daisy was my teacher before Trixy and I were friends. 'cher taught me.
