I just found this community and would like to introduce myself. My husband and I are owner operators leased to United Van Lines. That's right, we're "bedbuggers". We've been over the road for almost 17 years now and even quit smoking while we were on the road and we're still married. I'm amazed. Anyhoo. I'm sitting at home because of an accident in Florida on Feb. 19 at 11:00am exactly. If you're interested, read on. So now I'm just waiting for the husband to get home from his latest trip.

He got done unloading the trailer in the hot hot hot Florida sun and was lucky enough to have been able to get our two best lumpers out there to help. Not one stick of furniture was hurt, but he said whoever packed the cartons made "widow makers". Heavy. Poor baby. He heads on up to Albany GA to start loading another household, then off to L.A. White Dai Wolf (. Never try to rip off a metal seal off a trailer door with your bare hands. :(. The results: In-house anesthesia for microsurgery needed to repair severed nerve in finger 5 months of worker's comp. Over two years later and my damn finger is STILL messed up. Granted, I wasn't the smartest person in the world, doing what I did. but I'd just backed the truck up, was getting rushed to unload, and couldn't find my snips! Post a new comment.
