Memoirs of an American expat. A record of life through my eyes. Wednesday, January 12, 2011. I can't believe it's been a month and a half since I have written anything. I guess you can tell that life has been a bit busy around here. The holidays here are a bit funny. Christmas decorations do go up, but usually only about a week before Christmas. This year I noticed more festive behavior than last, so hopefully they are getting the hang of it and every year will be better. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

Memoirs of an American expat. A record of life through my eyes. Friday, November 19, 2010. Back in the U.S. it is autumn. While this is not my first year to be away from the U.S. at Thanksgiving time, this is the first year I have spent this time of year in a place where no leaves fall and the weather only warms up instead of becoming frosty. Our weekends have been spent shopping for our finishings. Sinks, toilets, water taps, doors, tiles, light fixtures. It's amazing how much you take for granted when you move into a place that is already finished. However, it's been a really fun process. Other areas in life. Next is one of the extra bedrooms.
