While I haven't used one myself, I understand the excitement about the potential for photography from a height previously unobtainable to most of us. Parks and Recreation Magazine. As long as I've been around photography and photographers the ultimate goal for most of us has been to shoot for National Geographic Magazine. Beyond that the ultimate goal is the cover of that magazine or any others for that matter. I can now say I've accomplished a version of that goal and it is a big thrill. My photo of Lakota Chief David Bald Eagle appears on the cover of the current National Geographic Traveller Australia/New Zealand.

As I type this, cars of all types are motoring up and down Pierre's main drag in the third annual Sioux Avenue Cruise Night and Hot Rod Hangout. Each year gets better as this event continues to grow in size and fun. There aren't many rules to the cruise. Any year and type of car is welcome, but it mainly brings out the hot rodders, classic collectors, tuner builders and customizers. It is a fun night of automotive artistry. Art of Place (1).

Monday, June 1, 2015. It's baby bird time in central South Dakota! It has taken a month of careful watching and waiting to capture this fun video. Mother robin first built a nest outside our kitchen window and left one egg in it before deciding our back deck would be a better spot for a nest.
