The things I make. Saturday, 16 January 2010. In the first video I will show how I prepare a piece of square section Mahogany to be turned into a mushroom. The sanding disc has 80 grit paper PVA glued to a Birch ply faceplate. The turning tool is a 2.5mm square graver that is sharpened like a parting tool on one end and like a round scraper on the other.It has a friction fit into the mahogany handle and is easilly swapped end to end when required. The second video is of me turning the actual mushroom.

Friday, 3 October 2008. So I finally arrived in Kathmandu, after various. And downs, and having managed to snatch half an hours sleep (making it at least an hours sleep in the previous 24 hours). The first trauma was getting a visa. Luckily it is possible to attain a visa upon entry to Nepal without too much trouble. I say that. Wednesday, 6 October 2010. The Trails and Tribulations of Traveling. It has been a rocky couple of months since I last posted. I have experienced emotions from the deep depths of despair, to the red hot rage of anger and the exhilarating heights of excitement. So do you want the good news or the bad news first? As for my passport. obviously this would just have to happen days before I was due to fly internationally! All I could do was hope that my van could withstand the 1000km journey that was required.

Well, now I am writing from the comfort of my bed in Kathmandu, but lots of stuff happened between the two states. So here I was. at last, actually in India. I briefly considered the option of doing a run for it, but without my passport, and most of my possesions I didn't think i would last long. I was never really cut out for a life on the run.
