We're all ears!!: Thanksgiving!!
http://were-all-ears.blogspot.com/2009/11/thanksgiving.html
Monday, November 23, 2009. If there ever was a time for giving Thanks- it is now. I am thankful I have a job, that my family is happy and secure and healthy, that there have been no major issues at work, but most of all right now, I am thankful for this holiday break! It has given me time to sit back and reflect on all that I have done to fulfill my career goals. It has given me time to get things completed and given me a breather! School of Hard Knocks. Sunday, September 27, 2009. Using Poems, quotes, and comic strips is a neat way of getting students to think. One particular quote that I gave to my remediation students is:. Now I become myself. It's taken time, many years, and places. I have been dissolved and shaken, worn other people's faces. Author May Sarton, "Now I become Myself". Links to this post. The First Year: Book Talk
http://lesliemansur.blogspot.com/2009/11/book-talk.html
Sunday, November 1, 2009. I'm not sure if we are supposed to publish the book talk we did for class or another one. I think we have the option of doing either, so I'm going to start with the one I did for class. On the recommendation of a fellow teacher, I read. By the time the castaways arrive on a small island, Phillip’s head injury has made him blind and dependant on Timothy. This is the story of their struggle to survive, and of Phillip’s efforts to adjust to his blindness and to unde...I think this ...

Sunday, October 25, 2009. The kids really enjoyed the spelling game. We have played twice, and they pick the Cowboys and the Razorbacks as their team names. I think the teams are currently tied 1-1.
