Death by Afternoon Tea: February 2014
http://devilish-tea.blogspot.com/2014_02_01_archive.html
Thursday, 13 February 2014. The last few working days in Year of the Snake had been a nightmare. There was so much to do that I had, for a moment, secretly wished that the Apocalypse would come and put an end to everything. The 4-day CNY holiday was no consolation to my exhausted mind and body - I was only made busier. The newest addition to my first aid kit is this Tea Almanac. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). I'm a devilish girl who lives up to the post-80s youth stereotype - hedonistic, frivolous and rebel...

Saturday, 18 October 2014. Autumn has arrived - finally something worth celebrating in the midst of depressing and plastic news. So, new tea reviews are on the way! Thanks for checking this blog despite the lack of update. :). Btw, these are the kurimanju. Chestnut buns) that I made in my first wagashi. Nothing beats chestnuts in autumn. Nothing. Death by Afternoon Tea: August 2014
http://devilish-tea.blogspot.com/2014_08_01_archive.html
Saturday, 16 August 2014. This is a long overdue post. I finally got the time to write when I had a day of sick leave. it's true when people say minor ailment is a blessing. It was a steaming hot evening in early July. While not as graphic as a polar bear on floating ice, isn't this summer - the stickiest summer EVER in my life - a solid proof of climate change? Crowd-phobic me immediately fell in love with this obscure little square for its tranquility and quirky shops. The empty, tree-shaded street...

Death by Afternoon Tea: March 2015

Sunday, 22 March 2015. Afternoon Tea @ The Helena May. Then I graduated and no longer saw the building on my way home. I had forgotten all about it until one day, when one of my bosses told me about a club for women called The Helena May. She said she loved that place for its gracious atmosphere. "Is that on Garden Road? I asked excitedly, before my boss confirmed that the mysterious heritage building was indeed the club that she was talking about. While I was contemplating various ways to ask my chongma...

Thursday, 2 January 2014. Lanvin ♥ Sevva Afternoon Tea @ Sevva. D As one of my new year resolutions is writing more on this blog, I think it'd be great to start this year with a brand new blog entry. :) I know I have promised to write about my tea experience in the UK, but after having tea at Sevva a few days earlier, I really can't wait to share my juicy story about it! To our astonishment, a long line was already formed by 2:05pm on the day! 0 We could not get a table and had to move to Cafe Causette.

Death by Afternoon Tea: May 2013

Saturday, 11 May 2013. Vive Le French May! It's May again, the time to indulge in French food. I've decided that today I will eat nothing but French food! Today begins with a cup of Betjemen and Barton's. Une Journée à la Campagne. There will be. Crêpes for lunch and fine French food for dinner. :) Isn't that awesome? Though the need to do revision for the coming Japanese quiz does in some way ruin the French mood. Btw, I must thank Ysaurella. The loveliest French Steepsterite, for swapping teas with me!

2016 Coffee and Tea Festival. Is a sponsor of the festival and always has quality teas and teaware. A standout this year was their. The luxurious Silver Needle Tea Company. Tea packaging has come a long way over the past decade. Many tea purveyors displayed beautifully designed canisters that highlight the uniqueness of each company. This was certainly true for Damn Fine Teas. Kombucha also made an appearance this year. My favorite was from a Brooklyn company called Pilot Kombucha. The handcrafted fermen...
