Die Perle des Pilions wartet auf Euch. Der Pilion ist ein stark bewaldetes Mittelgebirge an der Ostküste des griechischen Festlandes auf halber Strecke zwischen Athen und Thessaloniki. Die nächstgelegene Stadt ist Volos, 50 km entfernt. Der wohl schönste Ort im Pilion heißt Damoúchari. Romantisch, drei Bademöglichkeiten, kein Verkehr, 30 Häuser, fünf Tavernen, ein kleiner Supermarkt. Nie voll. Etwa so wie die Costa Brava um 1960. Wandern wie in Cinque Terre oder wie im Spessar. Die Wandermöglichkeiten an der Küste haben wir schon beschrieben: den Küstenweg nach Agios Ioannis oder nach Fakistra. Man kann auch die alten Eselspfade nach Mouresi oder nach Tsangarada gehen. Auch in Tsangarada selbst kann man gut von Marktplatz zu Marktplatz laufen.
