Lincoln was born with a rare diaphragm defect known as right-sided Congenital Diaphragmatic Hernia (CDH) on May 26th, 2011. We were told that Lincoln had little more than 50% chance of survival. Linc fought hard for his life in the beginning, coming very close to losing his life. After 83 days in the NICU, Lincoln came home to us. He remains strong and stubborn, and is now a happy, healthy one year old. This blog documents his life.

Saturday, November 10, 2012. The cold/flu/RSV season is here and I just wanted to post a quick update on our plans to help keep Lincoln healthy this season. While I'm happy to say that Lincoln is stronger and healthier than he was last year, I do not think he is quite ready to be "thrown to the wolves" when it come to respiratory illnesses. Friday, December 7, 2012. Last Surgery Complete - Success! Lincoln's Hypospadias Repair -stage 2 surgery was this past Wednesday. Everything went really well. Linc's Urologist was able to get everything fixed up so we are not planning for another surgery! We didn't know for sure going into this surgery if it would be Linc's last, but we are so. Friday, January 27, 2012. Lincoln is getting SO big now. He's just amazing. I took a picture with his little frog rattle to compare to his one week photo on the side bar. Check it out.
