Sunday, October 31, 2010. Fall Break Day 4: Madrid. Monday, October 25. This plaque marks the exact middle of Spain! The train ride last night was such a great experience. We were all able to get a little sleep and had a great time in our little Harry Potter compartment. We arrived in Madrid at 7:21 on the dot (so nice to be in a place that is so punctual-Italy is awful in this respect! It was so much fun talking to them about our different adventures. After this, we met our tour group in the Plaza.

Tuesday, December 7, 2010. Bern, the capitol city of the most beautiful place i've ever seen! Oh Bern. You're pretty great. Rows of pretty snowcapped houses along the river. On Sunday, we headed to Bern to be tourists for the day. Bern is the capital of Switzerland and is known for being the city of bears. I didn't really understand this until we were walking by the river and saw two huge bears just hanging out in the snow. Pretty cool! One of the bears near the river, just hanging out. Haha, only joking!
