We had a very quick but awesome 12 day visit with friends and family in the UK – the highlights included picking daffodils in the sunshine for Charlotte's birthday.yes I said sunshine! The Swindon dog races, the visit to Oxford, visiting the Wiltshire countryside in our tour a la Charlie, meeting Basil the dog, the visit to Devon, and catching up with everyone in London and beyond. There's no place like. Friday, April 8, 2011. Once we had done the Argentinian side of Iguazu falls we felt it only fair to do the Brazilian side as well. We crossed the border, dropped our bags in storage at the bus station and headed off to see them – all of which took far longer than expected and we had another bus to catch! There's no place like. Thursday, February 24, 2011. One of the first things we noticed in San Pedro was just how expensive it is here in Chile. Prices are similar to those back home, which after coming from Bolivia is quite a shock! We arrive in the small fishing village type town after another fun bus journey and our first land border crossing of the trip in the sunshine.yes, finally, SUNSHINE! There's no place like. Sunday, December 26, 2010. 14th - 24th December 2010. We arrived in Cartagena and got to our hotel in the 'Zona Rosa' (Red light district! The hostel was actually quite nice apart from everytime it rained,which was often, our room flooded! We learnt to keep everything off the floor pretty quickly and thankfully nothing got ruined! From Cartagena we went on a tour to a mud volcano (Volcan de Lodo El Totumo) which stands 15m high but is over 2000m deep! At the bottom of the Volcano.
