Thursday, March 22, 2007. Now that I've given you a bit of insight into the process I take in creating work, I thought I'd take a step back and discuss some of the artists that have inspired me over the years. One instructor was my design teacher . Ron Ponick, who insisted that I check out the work of am Cassandre as well as look into Russian war propaganda posters, and even old Olympic posters. Here's 4 images that I recall had an impact on me at that time:. Here's some of Doug's more recent work:.

Maybe I'll take some time to create this as a final vector illustration, but at the same time the setting actually lends itself to a loose sketch style. It was 1950 when Frank. McNamara of New York's Hamilton Credit. Grow In 1977 ...

Wednesday, March 21, 2007. One sheet contained the following sketch:. This sketch is REALLY important to me, as it was one of the first drawings I ever did where I was really happy with how the shapes of the face broke down into pieces that all worked really well together. Even as a simple pencil-drawing, there was strength in the design and mood was set in the character's face. I remember showing this sketch to a close friend of mine, davidicus. Ok - - enough reminiscing about the "good 'ol days" ;-).

Danamac Concrete's Blog. Just another WordPress.com weblog. October 17, 2014. Danamac recently completed a project for a local university that had interior exposed aggregate flooring.
