Tuesday, August 4, 2015. The last day of our summer vacation. Tomorrow I go back to school, for trainings and workshops. Our favorite sitter will keep the kids for this week and next while we both work. We've gotten new school shoes. And back to school haircuts. And a new system in place for packing lunches. We were deliberately "un-scheduled" this summer,. And we loved that. Lazy mornings, blanket tents in the house,. Endless books read, loads of quiet time,. Practicing our golf swing,. But they are mine.

Monday, January 26, 2015. Nap time with my buddy. Today, after VPK, Tucker was needy and weepy and a little grumpy. I had a to-do list as long as my arm, just breathing down my neck. It was a recipe for disaster. Instead of letting it all spiral out of control (as I sometimes do),. I took a deep breath and snuggled up in the bed with my boy. We napped for an hour together in my bed, and when we woke,. He was no longer grumpy, and I was no longer stressed. I took this picture because it made me smile.

Wednesday, October 13, 2010. Our baby girl is 17 months old! We have been so busy these past couple of months that I haven't had much time to write. We have spent several weekends in Daphne and a couple in Jemison and some time at the lake. Whew! Glad that things are about to slow down a little but I know the holidays are right around the corner and things will start to pick up again. She is still sleeping around 11-12 hours a night, going to bed around 7:30 and sleeping between 7-7:30 most mornings.

We have had a long winter locked inside due to the RSV season, and actually are suppose to still be on lock down until the end of April. Then we are as free as the birds again until October for MaKennas. Second winter. The frist. Two winters are the hardest on preemies. Which we already knew that, but we are being more careful with Kenna then we ever were with the twins.
