Emma has loved to dance from the moment she could walk and has been dancing ever since. She achieved a National Diploma in Dance at Kingston college which covered a range of dance styles. Since then, she has spent most of her time teaching children with special needs dance. Emma firmly believes that through dance, students learn teamwork, focus and improvisational skills. Dance awakens new perceptions in children which help them learn and think in new ways.

DanceKidz sessions are varied, challenging and FUN. They are structured dance classes designed to develop technique, co-ordination, confidence and inspire creativity, all in a fun and safe environment. Dance routines are progressive and incorporate a mixture of dance moves (see below) taught at a fun, steady pace. At the end of each term pupils work towards performing in a dance production to show parents/friends or possibly in assembly.

Arrive wearing appropriate clothing for DanceKidz, hair tied back and no jewellery. Arrive prompt for the lessons. More than 15 minutes late they will not be able to join in, warm up is important and happens at the start of the session. Do not eat or chew gum during a session. Children must inform the teacher of any injuries or illness they may have before the warm-up begins. Children must not use bad language. Encourage your child to learn the rules and participate within them.
