An endless cascade of poo, courtesy of chickens, goats, bunnies, and whatever other critters we might adopt. For Alan, this was very exciting: fantastic compost for the plants! For me, a former microbiologist, it was more intimidating: billions of invisible proto-pathogens swarming over every outdoor surface. Microbes in the lab were manageable. Microbes running free?
