What I Am Reading Wednesday - Alternate Lives. What I Am Reading Wednesday. Laquo; previous entry. Jan 30th, 2013 01:09 pm. I didn't know this was a thing, but since I've seen two posts about it on my flist today I'm guessing that it is. Which gives me an excuse to mention that Ta-Nehisi Coates is launching a Leviathan reading group. In case anyone else is interested. I've never read Leviathan. Maybe some of you all who haven't already seen TNC's post might think so too. Feel free to comment here or there.

Restarting - The Sarmatian Protopope

His desires inscrutable but surely base. May 27th, 2014. I want to livejournal, but I don't know how to (re)start. I've been away for a while, and for some reason I'm lightly obsessed with the idea of chronological narrative, of continuity, of filling in what I've missed. It's silly, but compulsive. And I've had so many changes in my life, over the last couple of years, that I don't know how to go about it. Hey, whatever, though. I miss you all. Miss writing, especially. Based on that very premise. 2014-...

Dare to be naive. Feb 13th, 2014. I have been home sick for two days with some kind of nasty bout of food poisoning/stomach bug. The cat is doing an admirable job of keeping me company and I think I may have turned the corner - had the teensiest bit of an appetite. Anyway, the cat. We are getting along just fine these days. He sleeps on me or on my side of the bed 90% of the time, and follows me around more often than M. He is sprawled across my lap sound asleep as I type this. 9 comments Leave a comment.

Laissez-faire sexuality and front-of-the-math-class nerdery. Every once in awhile, I revisit the horse-related corner of the internet, and two things happen: (1) I thank my lucky stars I didnt have more horrific accidents during my prelim-level eventing days, and (2) I find a new and horrifying form of animal abuse. Wooooo humanity is super fucked up. Im going to bed. Posted on Apr. 24th, 2012 at 01:33 am. I find i have nearly identical internet experiences when i read up about the lives of women :/.

Do you overlap with the guy who writes the Weekly Sift? Because he mentioned coming home from Star the same time you did.

Sharing the temptation - Alternate Lives. Laquo; previous entry. Next entry ». Jun 11th, 2012 01:44 pm. I'm not really here. But I thought my fellow Making Things addicts might want (or not want) to know what I just learned via. Interweave, suppliers of many very tempting books on technique, is having a Hurt Books Sale. It ends tomorrow, but right now? I didn't look at the knitting or spinning sections, but if they're as good as the metalworking section there may be some serious bargains to be had. I wil...

Dystopias Are Made Of People. - Barnstorming on an Invisible Segway. Dystopias Are Made Of People. Jul 19th, 2015 10:34 am. So some people have read my new story, “It Brought Us All Together,”. And even talked about it, which is always great. (Hurray, readers! One of the things they’ve said is that a few people have described it as dystopian. And I am not opposed to people thinking of it as dystopian, but it doesn’t strike me that way personally, and I was trying to figure out why. This one not so much.

Horse Hat* - On the Fluid Edge
http://penella22.livejournal.com/128741.html
On the Fluid Edge. Horses, Humor, and Hiking. Apr 2nd, 2009 at 7:51 PM. Fifteen minutes of riding yesterday. Bareback, seatbones digging into Sage's back, legs wrapped around his barrel in that special well-balanced way that only happens when I am riding well and he's not extra pudgy. To be made this summer out of yarn made from all the Sage hair I'm collecting now. 10 comments Leave a comment. Apr 3rd, 2009 08:41 am (UTC). But horse hair is kinda cool!
