Saturday, March 5, 2011. Up in the Mountains. The winter has been a whirlwind. It seems keeping up with classes, culture, and our family has been about all we could do. So we're sorry we haven't been better about sharing it all with you. Last week Chris finally got our pictures off the camera and onto the computer. so tonight, I'll try to share a piece of what we've been up to the last few months. The "brown" sides of the hill are where the mountain fell into the river. The youth we met were wonderful!

Saturday, November 13, 2010. Kindergarten Chapel Performance Starring. Caden Cooper. Caden's Kindergarten class led chapel this past Friday at school. We thought you all might enjoy seeing highlights of the performance. His teacher teaching did an amazing job of getting 15 wiggly kids to cooperate together on stage. Friday, July 30, 2010. Sharing about our adventures in a tropical country wouldn't be complete without a few critter stories. In our first few hours in our new home we found a snail (outside), 2 small roaches, and 2 friendly geckos! The roaches we would happily do without, and thankfully they haven't been around much. But we do like spotting our friendly, bug eating lizards. They are a welcome part of the Cooper household. The kids have named our geckos "Hide". We think this is Seek. :).

Sunday, October 31, 2010. Thanks to an adventurous and creative teacher, even in Taiwan Caden got to carve a pumpkin! With a class of 11 boys and 4 girls, that's quite the adventure! With the help of their 4th Grade Reading Buddies and a few moms, they had a great time. Caden drew the face and his reading buddy cut the shapes. Scooping out the guts! A little help from Mrs. Ulstrom (his teacher). There goes the top! October 31, 2010 at 11:04 PM. Is that a squash? Cant wait to show these pics to the boys.

Sunday, April 24, 2011. Yes people the Easter Bunny visits our house. and so does Santa Clause so get over it! It's fun for the kids and magical too. We talk about the reason for Christmas and Easter too so don't judge me. ha. We set our empty baskets out before bed and on Easter morning when Coop finally looked downstairs he came running into our room "the bunny brought bubbles! Oh it was so cute. Saturday, April 16, 2011. On April 16th we had a bridal shower in honor of my cousin Sarah. Samantha and her cousin Teah wore matching dresses. They were so cute. I think Sam liked having a playmate that didn't try to tackle her. We had yummy brunch and I think Sarah got some pretty nice gifts. Friday, August 20, 2010. So Sam turned 9 months old on Aug. 6. I dressed her in this cute green dress and took her picture! Thursday, August 19, 2010. A day at Papa and Grandma's. 2 weeks ago I went up to my parents to pick up the kids. I found Coop out back, so content in the sandbox, with his hat on backward. What a cute sight to see. It was such a nice day. We went for a walk and enjoyed the outdoors without sweating to death. I love to change up our "routine". Thursday, August 12, 2010.

Monday, May 2, 2011. So we checked out Buy Buy Baby this past Sat. It's our new baby store in Riverpark. It's owned by Bed Bath and Beyond and it's super cool! No more Babies R Us for this family. Monday, November 29, 2010. Thanksgiving and Black Friday! We had Samantha dedicated at church the day after her birthday. We were so blessed that Brad was able to do her dedication. He knows us well and it meant so much to us that he wanted to be there. We love our church family. We also had close friends and family there to support us. What a great weekend of celebrating our little girl! For Samantha's 1st birthday we celebrated with a Pretty in Pink Party. Lot's of fun and lots of pink!

Sunday, May 1, 2011. Easter Sunday Egg Hunt #1. On Easter Sunday we took the kids out to Kerman to visit their great-grandparents. They had fun having two easter egg hunts. Coop got to where he'd shake the egg and if it was money he put it in the basket, if it was candy he opened it to eat it. Sam found a few. I think next year she'll give Coop some competition. Saturday, December 25, 2010. After opening our Santa presents at home, we headed up to Bill and Michelle's for the Lebda Christmas. Santa was good to us. Our stockings runneth over! After naps and a 2nd trip out to Kerman we came home and opened presents with Papa and Grandma Quaid! Thursday, December 23, 2010.
