Slaters in Ames: July 2012
http://cycloneslaters.blogspot.com/2012_07_01_archive.html
Sunday, July 22, 2012. My wonderful cousin, Cyndy, informed me of a Bountiful Baskets site in Des Moines. So we tried it this weekend and I am loving it! We got quite a lot of produce:. 1 bunch collard greens. We saved about $6.00 doing the basket, and we were lucky with the fact I was going to Des Moines anyway. Obviously not very cost effective at this point, but hopefully more people will start using it so we will be able to receive more produce. Wednesday, July 18, 2012. Jay and I went to the library...

Slaters in Ames: May 2012
http://cycloneslaters.blogspot.com/2012_05_01_archive.html
Saturday, May 26, 2012. These are from our zoo trip. I'm trying to help Jay pet one of the goats while Jay and Jason were looking at the Kookaburas. Jay was really good at the zoo and we may visit again sometime this summer. Sunday, May 20, 2012. Tuesday, May 15, 2012. Apparently I am at my limit for the number of pictures on DropShots. So for now, I guess I try to post more pictures on the blog and add more to Facebook for those of you who are on it. Sorry for the confusion! Monday, May 14, 2012.

Slaters in Ames: November 2012
http://cycloneslaters.blogspot.com/2012_11_01_archive.html
Tuesday, November 27, 2012. Jay got his 18 month and flu shots today. He was so brave! He was a happy little boy all morning, then he had his shots. The crying didn't last long. I think he was done crying by the time we got his coat and hat on. We decided to treat him to Perkins for breakfast since he was up earlier than he would normally be and he had three pokes. At least we have six months before we get anymore pokes! Since he's been napping so late, we've had a few nights where he goes to bed later t...

Slaters in Ames: So Much
http://cycloneslaters.blogspot.com/2013/06/so-much.html
Saturday, June 8, 2013. I didn't realize I hadn't blogged at all in May. We had one major event. Jay turned two and boy oh boy do we know it! He has fits at the drop of a hat which is doubly bad since he doesn't talk and we don't really know why he's having a fit. He doesn't like having his haircut at all but he loves being read to. He's also quite the dancer! Enjoying our birthday supper! Happy birthday apple cake! He also loves drawing with his sidewalk chalk on the driveway. He's very possessive o...

Slaters in Ames: April 2013
http://cycloneslaters.blogspot.com/2013_04_01_archive.html
Wednesday, April 24, 2013. I officially start back to Solum, Inc. on Monday. I had a nice talk with our HR director and she assures me that will be my start day. I may now work 40 hours for the first couple of weeks, but I will be going back to work. Our daycare provider is back and open again. Jay went for the day this past Monday and he had a great day! He cried for about 10 minutes after we left, but was fine the rest of the day. I hope this means he'll adjust well to going back full-time. VEISHA is a...

Slaters in Ames: February 2013
http://cycloneslaters.blogspot.com/2013_02_01_archive.html
Friday, February 1, 2013. Ames finally got a decent amount of snow the other morning. For a change, Jay and I decided to go out and play in it! Walking carefully.. What is this stuff? He had a blast playing! Unfortunately, it was pretty windy so we didn't stay out too long. We didn't get any farther than the driveway. That's ok, maybe we'll get some more snow playtime this weekend. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Allegra and Jay are showing off their piano skills. Wonderful World of Gaming.

Slaters in Ames: Potty Training
http://cycloneslaters.blogspot.com/2013/09/potty-training.html
Saturday, September 21, 2013. September 23, 2013 at 4:03 PM. Diapers put on backwards, jammies on backwards, help with the diaper taking off. Some times a surprise cold bath following the smearing also gets the point across -not that Ive ever tried any of those. ;) Also, if you use cloth diapers, snaps instead of velcro often does the trick. Good luck! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Allegra and Jay are showing off their piano skills. Wonderful World of Gaming. Pics on Jason's Facebook.

Slaters in Ames: June 2012
http://cycloneslaters.blogspot.com/2012_06_01_archive.html
Saturday, June 30, 2012. Jay was very good for me on our drive to Miles on Thursday. He slept for a little while, but was fairly quite for the rest of the way. He played with his toys and looked at his books. He was rewarded with getting to swim in Grandma and Grandpa's pool! He was very excited to play with his cousins and all of the people we got to visit with. He has been so worn out! I had to take a picture so Jason would be jealous! The chicken was really good, but then again, everything we had was.
