I was planning on visiting the climb that my mate Stryder's planning on Everesting on 8th June which is on Lakeside Drive in Emerald. Saturday, 20 June 2015. A pleasant stoll in the Dandenong's. David White at the top of the 1:20. It was casual pace and we were able to spend time chatting. From the 1:20 we descended down Sherbrooke Road which had a bit of water on it, and we needed to take care on the descent. We stopped at the Emerald Bakery, and the image below says it all. The road takes you past the Wright Forest, and is brutal and is arguably one of the toughest short climbs that you can do in the Dandenong's with gradients pushing 16%.
