It becomes obvious what sets the books of the nag hammadi library apart from the canonical books having gone as far as undermine the patriarchy and authority of the bishops.

Wasn't a simple dinner necessary to convey a message of love? I think that's a bit over the edge. But why is that? Or is it just to get laid? Perhaps a little of the former and a lot of the latter?
