Sunday, March 24, 2013. Palm Sunday in Guatemala City. Guatemala is famous for it's processions during semana santa. Antigua is the most well known, but the historic center of the city also puts on quite a show during the 4 Sundays leading up to Easter. This Sunday, Palm Sunday, there were two major processions working their way through the streets of zone 1, past the presidential palace and the main cathedral. Friday, March 22, 2013. Still trying to cross a few more places off the list, I went up to Xela and the hot springs at Fuentes Georginas on Saturday morning. It was a soggy, wet weekend, but the hot springs were nice and hot so it didn't really matter.

Still trying to cross a few more places off the list, I went up to Xela and the hot springs at Fuentes Georginas on Saturday morning. It was a soggy, wet weekend, but the hot springs were nice and hot so it didn't really matter.
