meditations from a moveable life: December 2010
http://moveablelife.blogspot.com/2010_12_01_archive.html
Sunday, December 12. Snow missouri = ants. My first thought was: it's because I missed last Saturday's cleaning! Ant Control Advice Point One: Don't try to take care of ants at midnight. The baking soda might be a good idea, but in my tiredness, I got it everywhere! When I woke up today, there were still (many) more ants but also baking soda covering my way-too-slick Windexed floor. Recipe for disaster, I tell you. Saturday, December 11. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). It's Better in Wyoming. Welcome to New ...

meditations from a moveable life: more painting.
http://moveablelife.blogspot.com/2011/09/more-painting.html
Friday, September 2. When I first moved to Missouri and began looking for a rental place, I realized I was either going to find somewhere that was done up really nicely and cost 800-950 or so a month or I was going to find a place that was done up less nicely, but closer to 550-750. (These seem to be the price ranges for rentals around here.). All this to say, I'm finally done! This means every room in the house has now been painted. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). meditations from a moveable life: June 2011
http://moveablelife.blogspot.com/2011_06_01_archive.html
Wednesday, June 29. The good news is that the backyard has been wholly cleaned up and I've sprayed the driveway for weeds. The grass is regrowing in the once tall, then dead section. I also braved the snakes to finally get rid of the old fenceposts and metal garden stuff that was all lining the back of the garage (& had become totally overgrown with weeds and grass.). Here are some before and after shots of that section of yard. The bad news is that my garden is also growing, weeds! Monday, June 27.

meditations from a moveable life: March 2011
http://moveablelife.blogspot.com/2011_03_01_archive.html
Thursday, March 31. I was in Oregon this past week at a wedding for my friend and mentor, Anna. It was a lovely wedding and in a wonderful location (waterfalls all around, old growth forests.). I'm not sure I've ever been in a situation like this before, where all the parts of someone's life come together in quite the same way. It's made me think a lot about community- or the potential for community. Sunday, March 20. Tinkering with the blog. Thursday, March 10. Communion cups and someone's coat. Where a...

meditations from a moveable life: in case you missed the game
http://moveablelife.blogspot.com/2011/09/in-case-you-missed-game.html
Friday, September 23. In case you missed the game. Here are the highlights of last night's game! It looked like it might be another Japan game there for awhile.but then the last 35 minutes of the game, the U.S. was on fire. (Well they were before too.just a lot of barely-missed shots.) Oh do I love soccer season. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). It's Better in Wyoming. It Is Happy To Love. Daniel and Liz Koenigsberg. Big Shoes to Fill. Every Day Now Sunday. meditations from a moveable life: April 2011
http://moveablelife.blogspot.com/2011_04_01_archive.html
Saturday, April 23. Project making room has (so far) been a grand success! Though I've halted for the last week or so (writing papers instead), before that, I did some serious cleaning. I started with my clothes and threw away several ripped/torn and generally junky pieces of clothing that I have no idea why I still had (& wore! In my wardrobe. Then I made a slightly smaller pile of items to give away. You might not believe me after this post, but I am a generally neat person! Well, I made a giant pile o...

meditations from a moveable life: uswnt
http://moveablelife.blogspot.com/2011/09/uswnt.html
Tuesday, September 20. This weekend, my family and I saw the US Women's National Team (soccer) play Canada. They tied the match, but it was a good game and really really fun to watch! Our seats were in the 12th row, right behind the US Women's bench. It was pretty incredible. Here are some photos. (The team plays their next game on Thursday, 8pm Pacific time, ESPN3.com.) Love these guys! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). It's Better in Wyoming. It Is Happy To Love. Daniel and Liz Koenigsberg.

meditations from a moveable life: October 2011
http://moveablelife.blogspot.com/2011_10_01_archive.html
Saturday, October 1. Continuing my creative reading venture, after going out to Wyoming and Colorado this summer, I went to Wisconsin and visited Aldo Leopold and John Muir's old stomping grounds. (Then on the way back, I went to one of the towns Rachel Carson wrote about.). Nope You pay your 12 bucks, drive up the road yourself, walk past a broken fence and get to look at the outside (yes: only the outside! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). It's Better in Wyoming. meditations from a moveable life: May 2011
http://moveablelife.blogspot.com/2011_05_01_archive.html
Tuesday, May 31. Over the past couple weeks, I sifted through my belongings at my folks' old house and recycled (gasp) almost two entire trashcans full of papers! How is that even possible? Apparently I never recycled anything since like 1st grade. While I was going through stuff, I found a list of my favorite names from 1996. It was super funny- because I realized the list is almost identical to my favorite names today! Nothing's changed, apparently! Loved living out west. St Paul, MN or Westboro, WI.
