Winnipeg Blues GM/Head Coach Don Macgillvray announced today the Blues have acquired high scoring 20 year old forward Derek Gingera from the Selkirk Steelers as part of the future considerations deal that sent Adam Stoykewych to the Steelers back on the January 10th deadline. Gingera had 33 goals and 27 assists in 61 games during the regular season, and notched another 7 goals and 9 assists in 16 playoff games.

Winnipeg remains in second place with 72 points, two behind the first place Portage Terriers. Winkler smashed Neepawa 10-3 and now sit one point behind Winnipeg, but have two games in hand.
