I penciled this character on 11x17 paper to uses in both my Type Hierarchy class and my 3d design class. The character on the right was the first version of the child-soldier character. Art that tells a story and evokes memories. Friday, June 25, 2010. This piece was inspired by Homer's iliad, The Odyssey. The illustration depicts Odysseus's wife Penelope waiting for her husband to return from the Trojan War. For those of you that have forgotten, it takes Odysseus 10 years to make his way back home. June 10, 2011 at 3:39 AM. This is absolutely stunning! I teach The Odyssey in Classical Studies (Ancient History) in New Zealand and came across this amazing image and you other art works!
